About Us
Colin Douglas is a senior partner and director of a large plumbing firm and enjoys watching most sports. He accompanies Pam on most of her judging trips abroad, and is the support crew for the Llanddona Team at most of the New Zealand shows. Pam is an All Breeds Championship Show licensed judge. She has judged in both Islands of New Zealand, in Australia, South Africa, United States of America and Canada.
We have been involved with Beardies since 1983, when we imported from Graham Kerr & Brian Dowse of the Anubis Kennels in Australia our first bitch.
We were the first kennel to successfully produce Bearded Collie Puppies by frozen semen, here in New Zealand. We imported semen from the USA, and still today import from that Country to increase the gene pool here in New Zealand.
We have imported two bitches from the UK. One was spayed within 6 months of arriving and is in a pet home, and our current one NZ CH BREAKSEA SEXY SADIE is co-owned with Jenny Watts. We look forward to Whitney’s last litter, due in the New Year.
In 2003 we imported from Pat Connor, Tineetown Kennels, Victoria, Australia, NZ CH TINEETOWN TUSSOCK – KELLY AND NZ CH TINEETOWN THISIS CLASSEE – VICKY. We also have from Australia, NZ CH TAUFIELD WARRIOR HEART and she was mated to AUST CH REBELGLEN CATMANDOO and we retained NZ CH LLANDDONA OZ HARVEST MOON (Bear) and NZ CH LLANDDONA I’MTALKATIVE (Pansy).
We live on 10 acres on the outskirts of Hamilton, a lovely city in the heart of the Waikato, in the North Island of New Zealand, where we raise Red Devon beef cattle.
